Dimple Kothuru (Workshop tutor)
I was a 2023 John Monash Science School (JMSS) graduate that completed VCE with an ATAR of 94.75 percentile. Throughout my schooling, I was an active and passionate member of the community, taking on several leadership roles. Notably, I served as President of the 2023 JMSS Interact Club—the largest club at the school. In this role, I managed significant fundraising initiatives, organized large-scale events, collaborated closely with the principal team, and supported charitable causes. Beyond school leadership, I was also a member of the Melbourne Robocats, a highly regarded robotics team in Melbourne. With the Robocats, I had the privilege of competing at the 2024 FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston, Texas, showcasing innovative engineering solutions on a global stage.
Currently, I am pursuing a double degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce at Monash University. Alongside my studies, I volunteer as the Melbourne Secretary and Treasurer for a not-for-profit organization, where I manage budgeting and oversee the operational aspects for the Melbourne chapter.
One of my passions is inspiring young minds to embrace and excel in mathematics. I believe that with the right guidance, students can develop a genuine interest in the subject. During workshops, I aim to provide personalized support, helping students build confidence, solidify their understanding, and develop a deeper appreciation for mathematics.
